Just so you know, the tank can only hold one gallon, but I plan on moving up the scale soon.

We have a koi and a chinese hifin shark. They look like they could be from the same family but they aren’t. But they never leave each other’s side. And when the shark was sick, the koi sat by it’s side the entire time and even helped to push him to the surface to get food.
